Why I Went Quiet, and What’s Changing

Signals & Systems is now What Matters Now

You may have noticed I haven’t published a newsletter in the past few weeks.

That pause was intentional. I was spending time thinking hard about where this newsletter should go, and whether the way I was writing was actually serving you well.

If I’m being honest, something didn’t feel right.

Signals & Systems captured what I think about in the moment. But it didn’t always help you move.

I was sharing good ideas, frameworks, and reflections — yet I kept asking myself a harder question: Is this actually helping people make progress, or just giving them more to think about?

And in a world where everything already feels important, adding more thinking without direction can quietly become another form of noise.

That reflection led to a clear decision.

I’m evolving the newsletter from Signals & Systems to What Matters Now.

The goal is simple: help you get from:

Ambiguity → Clarity

Because getting clear is how you win the first half of the game. To know what you truly want and what matters now, so everything that comes after can line up.

Every week, you'll get:

  • One short insight from me — a reflection, pattern, or observation
  • Three carefully chosen ideas, quotes, or perspectives from others
  • One closing question to help you reflect, decide, or take action

I’m also moving the newsletter from Monday to Thursday — a quieter moment in the week to pause, reflect, and recalibrate before what comes next.

The first issue of What Matters Now will land on Thursday, January 22.

This lighter, more focused structure also gives me more space behind the scenes —to create useful free resources, and eventually paid programs, that help you go deeper when you need it, without turning this newsletter into a content hamster wheel.

I want this to feel like a steady signal in your week, not more noise.

Thanks for sticking with me while I worked through this. I’m excited about what this becomes next.
